TO BE RECOGNIZED IN THE COMMUNITY AS THE PLACE WHERE THOSE IN NEED CAN TURN FOR HELP WITH TRANSPORTATION SO THEY CAN CONTINUE TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT
We find that for the most part people want to remain self-sufficient. For some of our clients reliable transportation is the only thing standing between them and homelessness. When we help someone with transportation we’re helping people with big things like finding and maintaining employment, getting the kids/self to school, making doctor appointments, getting to the grocery store and little things like going to the movies or taking the kids to the park. A good example of the difference we make is when we put brakes on a single mom’s car not only are we keeping her and her kids safe but also those on the road around her.
